Welcome to the Windburn Wind Farm project website.
Wind2 are developing proposals for a wind farm within the Ochil Hills, approx. 3km to the north of Alva. The project site is located on grazing land which forms part of two working farms situated across the Clackmannanshire - Perth and Kinross local authority area boundary. The Windburn Wind Farm will comprise up to 14 wind turbines, with an installed capacity of approx. 70 megawatts (MW) and associated infrastructure.
With staff based in the Highlands, Perthshire and Edinburgh, as well as Wales and England, the Wind2 team has significant expertise in renewable energy and a track record of successfully developing onshore wind projects throughout the UK. Windburn Wind Farm Limited is part of a joint venture between Wind2 and companies managed by Octopus Energy Generation.
